New spark of life

Life gets buys; very busy. It's extremely easy to let every day blend together and almost feel as if you are stuck in a cycle. A cycle of repeating daily activities again and again. This loop is easy to get caught in, and hard to break out of. It can cause life to feel almost monotone and can make you completely lose your spark. Think back to when you were a kid; young and full of life. Showing up to kindergarten felt like a completely new day, going to the park for the 1000th time felt exciting, and even the smallest things in life felt captivating. This beautiful spark for life can be replenished. 1 Thessalonians 5:18: "Give thanks in all circumstances; for this is God’s will for you in Christ Jesus". Regardless of how life may be unfolding for you, give thanks. Be appreciative for every step and path that God is leading you down. Appreciate every moment because you will never get to relive it again. There is always something new everyday that you can be grateful for, you just need to look for it. Give thanks to God for the smallest things, and suddenly your life won't feel dull. Science shows that being grateful for the small things in life actually rewires your brain through a process called neuroplasticity, making it easier for a person to be happier over time. When you notice a small, positive detail, your brain reacts physically by shifting its chemistry and strengthening helpful neural pathways. This not only strengthens neural pathways, but also causes a chemical release of dopamine and serotonin, along with calming your stress. God has placed a system in our bodies that reward us for being grateful and appreciating what he brings in our lives. Follow him, and be grateful for every moment.
